Another stunning brazilian D-28 here at Studio 1 Vintage, this one is serial # 161174
This guitar has been played well but still has more playing in to be done! Great condition overall for its age. Responsive low end true to the desirable rosewood qualities, top is in great condition too.
The D-28 is one of the most respected of all Martin models, and this very easy playing and fantastic sounding example is a prime example of why. It offers a powerful full-range sound and is more even sounding across the fingerboard than some while still maintaining the powerful bass response D-28's are prized for. This guitar is perfectly suited to period styles including purely acoustic Bluegrass of folk, acoustic/electric Honky Tonk or any more modern playing applications. This is a gem of an early "Folk-era" D-28, a smooth player and simply classically excellent flat-top guitar.

Well Garrick you’ve delivered once again mate. This “0” size “Country Boy” by Dana Bourgeois is just incredible. Very elegant in design,nothing superfluous just master grade materials and a deep appreciation of all possibilities resulting in a strong, clean and uncluttered sound from a very user friendly instrument. Communication was great, delivery was super quick and packed so well. The guitar is everything I thought it would be. I have a 74 D50R which is quite a chunky neck, still lovely to play though, this one has a slimmer neck which suits my hands much better. Love the feel, sound and the look of this guitar. I would buy from these guys again if anything came up that tickled my fancy. I'm a very keen Guild collector, so I'm super happy I have this one now.
